Play Reading and Fundraiser Featuring: After a cross country tour from Los Angeles to the National Department of Peace Conference in Washington, D.C., that empowered, enlightened and touched the hearts of everyday Americans, The Gift of Peace makes a triumphant return to its home in Los Angeles with a star-studded event at U.C.L.A.’s Freud Playhouse on Wednesday, 28th February, 2007 at 8:00 PM. Student Volunteers in Nebraska have made a fun "commercial"
that is posted on You Tube, a good one to check out!
Student Peace Alliance at U.N. Student Peace Alliance Alliance Director Aaron Voldman visited the United Nations on Thursday, February 22 to continue to build a strong partnership between the Department of Peace campaign, civil society, and the United Nations. Aaron, along with Department of Peace UN liaison Anne Creter, attended the Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns UN committee. Aaron then met with the committee's campus peace centers working group to discuss how the student peace alliance can build a partnership with this initiative. The Department of Peace and specifically the student effort were greeted with enthusiasm and excitement by members of the respective committee and working group.
