Simultaneous House Parties Across the Nation

Virtual Town Hall Conference Call

Listen to audio from Nov. 16th House Party Support Call with Lynn McMullen

In ways we have never seen before, the momentum in support of the practical but powerful work of peacebuilding is beginning to shift in promising directions. This Summer, we are asking you to take a stand in partnership with us in spreading the message that indeed, peace is possible, by hosting a House Party (or BBQ or picnic) in your community.

The rest of this year holds great promise for our work. Now is the opportunity to share all of the exciting ways people can get involved in making peace a reality.  It's also a great opportunity to help with our "Hot Summer in D.C." fundraising drive, as a way to ask attendees to invest financially in support of our work.

We have provided planning and material support for your house party, whether it is focused on awareness building, recruitment and/or fundraising.  Join people in cities across the nation gathering at the same time on July 24th to share the profound potential of The Peace Alliance to make peace real.

Date and Time:

  • We are encouraging our network to host parties on July 24th.  1:00 pacific, and 4:00 eastern are the suggested start times (2 hours total max), with the national Town Hall conference call (see below) starting approximately 1 hour into the House Parties.  We will let you know soon who our roster of guest speakers will be and the time they can be on.  If these times or dates do not work for you, hold your party whenever best for your schedule (it's possible a staff member can call in to your event regardless of the time).

Virtual Town Hall:

  • As part of the House Parties, we will host a national peace Town Hall Conference Call led by our staff along with prominent public leaders (announcement forthcoming).  Join together with fellow organizers from around the country during your house party!

NOW is the time to come together in support of the work of peacebuilding, by inviting friends, family, colleagues, local peacebuilders, and anyone interested in your community to learn about the profound potential we share.  Host it with a friend, other local Peace Alliance/Student Peace Alliance supporters, or host it on your own. Join us!
