Come join our volunteer staff team. As we expand the scope of our work, we are recognizing the need for more robust leadership at the staff level. However, because of this challenging economy, it's not yet fully possible to hire the team we need, and so we turn to you. Are you retired? Are you working part-time or have free time in evenings and are aching to make more of a difference? Please consider the volunteer jobs we are posting below and see if your skills are a fit. We know that all the right people are out there.

We are requesting a six-month commitment for all the roles.  These are all virtual roles, located anywhere in the U.S.  (unless you live in the D.C. area and want to work in our office).  You will need your own computer and phone.

 

ADMIN & RESEARCH ASSOCIATE:
Minimum 10-15 hours per week

Role Description:
Seeking someone to support our Executive Director and Peace Alliance staff team.  This role could include support in the following areas:  tracking of general project management; scheduling meetings & travel; fundraising and alliance building; legislative and research support; grassroots support and more.  Looking for high energy, well-organized person with good computer and people skills. 

 

GRANTWRITING TEAM
10 - 15 hours per month

Role Description:
Seeking people with Grant-writing skills to join our grant-writing team. The work may include researching potential grant possibilities, helping craft grant proposals and include some administrative tasks. Good computer and writing skills important.  Open to strong candidates who do not have previous experience directly with grantwriting but are eager to learn and offer support.

 

TECH SUPPORT
5 to 10 hours per week

Role Description:
Seeking skilled tech support to help us manage our web and database.  Specifically, help updating our website (currently Joomla content management system), as well as our online action system and membership database called Salsa.  Ideally, would have skills in basic html, understanding of how to work with web hosting servers, ability to navigate our membership database and the ability to help us prepare and layout email blasts.  Web development skils a plus.
