and Preventing Conflict: A Memo to the Obama Administration

(AfP), the 3D Security Initiative and Global Partnership for the
Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), this memo outlines four specific recommendations to the Obama Administration regarding reducing and preventing violence internationally. It highlights the importance of Civil Society involvement in conflict resolution planning and explains, "Long-term planning and cost-effective investments in conflict prevention can build bridges and help to stabilize communities, preventing the outbreak of disease, discontent, and violence."
