The work of The Peace Alliance is predominantly funded by individual donors who know that investing in peacebuilding works. Our goal is to make peacebuilding an economic priority at every level of our society—from individual to national. We have several "Ways to Give" outlined for you below.
Stewardship Programs
Recognizing the long-term nature of the movement and importance of consistent, predictable funding, we are focusing on increasing our stewardship programs. These ongoing “sustaining” contributions create a powerful foundation to ensure the movement’s effectiveness.
At the federal level we are asking for the equivalent of one percent of the federal discretionary budget to establish and fund a U.S. Department of Peace. Until we achieve this result, and are able to see our tax dollars being used to invest in peace, many of our donors choose to personally support The Peace Alliance at least at that same level, donating one percent or more of their monthly net.
There are three stewardship levels. Each represents a deep commitment to the movement to create a culture of peace in our communities, states, nation and world.

Peace Alliance Partner: Become a core financial supporter by contributing regularly to the U.S. Department of Peace campaign and the movement to facilitate a culture of peace. Visionary Circle Member: Pledge to contribute at least $1,000 annually until the legislation to establish a U.S. Department of Peace is signed into law and the first Secretary of Peace is sworn into office. Peace Partnership International: A sister organization to The Peace Alliance, Peace Partnership International promotes a global culture of conflict resolution and applied peacebuilding, fulfilling this mission primarily through support of The Peace Alliance. Examples of funded efforts include roundtables; peacebuilding white papers highlighting effective programs; support of U.S. participation in the Global Alliance for Ministries and Departments of Peace; and maintenance of The Peace Registry, a global database of peacebuilding organizations and individuals.
The Peace Alliance is a C4 organization, while Peace Partnership International is a C3, providing the ability to accept tax deductible contributions. about additional opportunities for major donors to fund specific projects, such as "adopting" an intern, sponsoring a retreat or training event, sponsoring a peacebuilding roundtable, funding production of major outreach materials, and more. Volunteer: Time and talent is an inestimable contribution.

to donate a specific skill or service. Examples include graphic design, web design, copywriting, technical support, marketing and public relations, event coordination and more. We’ll work with you to create a specific agreement around hours and services. Of course, be sure to also volunteer with your local grassroots group, which is one of the highest contributions you can make.
Note that donations to The Peace Alliance are not tax deductible as they support our grassroots organizing and lobbying efforts. Donations to Peace Partners International are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
