Wendy Greene brings to The Peace Alliance a diverse background in the for-profit, nonprofit, and personal transformation arenas. She served 13 years at the former aerospace company Hughes Electronics Corporation and its subsidiaries (including DIRECTV®), fulfilling a variety of corporate communications and management positions, including Director of Public Relations and Manager of Investor Relations. From 2001 to 2003, she worked at the award-winning Challenge Day organization in roles ranging from Workshop Coordinator to Director of Operations. Prior to joining the Department of Peace campaign in 2004, first as a Congressional District Team Leader and later as a co-State Coordinator, Wendy facilitated transformational seminars with troubled teens in specialty schools. Born an “Air Force Brat,” Wendy has family members serving on active duty in both the Air Force and the Marines. She holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Kathy Kidd
joined the Army after high school seeking adventure and independence. Afterwards, and after graduating from University of Houston with a Political Science degree, she worked a short time in politics, including managing a political campaign in California. Kathy subsequently worked in hotel and restaurant management and event planning and also volunteered with organizations centered mostly on the welfare of children and the homeless (such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Child Abuse Prevention Council), including serving on the boards of the San Francisco AAUW chapter and of the Houston Peace and Justice Center. She has worked in financial services for the past 10 years, where as customer relations manager she did what she loves best – cultivating relationships. Kathy is a breast cancer survivor, an experience that turned her life around by leading her to rethink what was most important to her. She is working with the Department of Peace campaign because of her desire to bring healing to the political process and to be instrumental in creating and fostering a culture of peace in our country and the world. Among Kathy’s favorite quotes is Rumi’s, “Out beyond the idea of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field; I'll meet you there.” Another is Anita Roddick’s, “If you think you’re too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room.”

Judy Addicott Kimmel has spent her life working in the areas of education, personal growth, and transformative project management. Her career encompasses the fields of elementary education, retail and franchise management, and nonprofit administration. Judy has played strategic roles in Hawken Country Day School, as Head of Preschool Program; the est Foundation, as Administrative Manager; Supercuts Corporation, as franchisee and marketing consultant; the Beyond War Foundation, establishing and expanding their San Francisco region; Primo's Coffee Inc., as Owner; Kimmel and Company, as consultant; and the Kucinich 2004 Presidential Campaign, as California State Coordinator; and continues coaching in the private and public sectors and serving on a number of different Boards. Judy is dedicated to activism and transformed relationships with family, community, and business.

Patty Kuderer
is the past Co-Chair of the Washington State Department of Peace Campaign, 2004 to 2005. From 2003 to 2004, she served as the Washington State Media Coordinator and National Liaison to Oregon for the Kucinich for President Campaign and was a delegate to the Washington State Democratic Convention. An attorney, Patty practiced law in Minnesota for 15 years, representing cities and nonprofit corporations in complex, multi-party litigation cases before moving to Washington in 1999. A wife and mother of two teenagers, Patty volunteered her time at church and schools, focusing on educational and social issues that ultimately lead her to political activism. In 2006, she received the Washington State PTSA “Golden Acorn” award for outstanding volunteerism. She is a former partner of Hoff, Barry & Kuderer, PA, and a past Board Member of Minnesota International Health Volunteers and of the William Mitchell College of Law Alumni.

Debbie Urben is a proud mother to three college-age boys, living in the Detroit, Michigan, area. She began her work volunteering for the Global Renaissance Alliance (now The Peace Alliance Foundation) in 2000 and soon afterwards became a part-time employee. In addition to her current role with The Peace Alliance, Debbie also serves as Office Manager for The Peace Alliance Foundation. She has spent the last 10 years studying politics, peace, social justice, and personal growth. Debbie is deeply committed to the campaign to establish a U.S. Department of Peace, having been involved since its very beginning. Debbie's dream is for a world where every child feels safe, loved, and cared for.

Aaron Voldman is a 20-year-old junior at Brandeis University, where he is focusing on peace, conflict, and coexistence studies. Aaron organized locally for a Department of Peace during high school in Vermont and continues to do so at his university. Aaron is passionate about positive social change and transformation and is inspired by the organizers and peacebuilders of all ages whom he has met through his work with the Department of Peace campaign.
