The legislation to establish a U.S. Department of Peace is currently in four committees in the U.S. House of Representatives.
House Oversight and Government Reform
House Foreign Affairs
House Judiciary
House Education and Labor
Click here (40.00 Kb) for an excel list of all committee members on the various committees. They are listed as co-sponsors or not. If you are the constituent of one of these members, it is especially important to be in touch with them encouraging their support. If they are not a co-sponsor , encourage them to become one. If they are a co-sponsor, encourage them to call for a committee hearing on the legislation so it can be brought to a vote and hopefully brought out of committee.
