Saturday was an amazing day at the Department of Peace Conference. We
listened to a presentation by Deepak Chopra about how we represent the
next phase of human evolution, and that the next phase was not one of
just physical evolution, but the evolution of consciousness. He drew
upon discoveries in quantum physics to describe the new awareness we
are moving into, and how we are discovering that are reality is made of
waves of possibility. He talked about the underlying oneness and the
omnipresence of being that we are all a part of, and how our senses
have not been fast enough to perceive the underlying nature of the
physical world as vibration, onenness and simultaneity.
Deepak helped bring us into the emerging new awareness that we create
our own universal reality, and that we are on the verge of an
evolutionary breakthrough in consciousness that allowed us to become
aware of our awareness as the extension of and cocreator with the
universal consciousness that we are all a part of. With that, Marianne
Williamson took the stage and without missing a beat, took us right
into the next level of the cocreation.
Marianne immediately
began facilitating the most powerful and moving experience of group
prayer I have ever witnessed. She empowered the audience to create the
world that we wanted to see, and call it into the present with our
voices by saying "I see a world in which . . .", and we were asked to
fill in the blank with our own perception of human potential.
We
began in silence, and felt a deep space of connection with each other.
It felt like a spiritual force descended into the room, and the whole
universe was listening to us. Slowly, at first, people began to rise
one by one and give a statement.
"I see a world in which leadership is a circle."
"I see a world in which we are governed by love."
"I see a world in which we all live in peace and harmony"
"I see a world in which money no longer matters."
"I see a world in which the kingdom of heaven lives within all of our hearts."
"I see a world filled with peace and love, where there is no more fear."
At
first there was a space of silence between statements, and gradually
the pace quicked until these invocations were happening one right after
another. The energy grew stronger and it felt like we were stepping
through the doorway into the reality of Heaven on Earth.
The
future of a Promised Age of Peace seemed to crystal in the room, and we
were no longer looking into the distance to a time when these dreams
might come to pass. We were stepping into the new world of peace and
human unity that hovers in the field of potential around all of us, and
looking back to those who had not yet discovered this possibility to
reach out our hands and hearts and invite humanity to join us in the
sacred circle of one sacred heart that we all felt together in the
silence.
The stillness was deep, the presence was strong, and
the clarity of our personal power was complete. There is no going back.
I feel honored to stand here at this conference with the archetects of
the future and the heros of history, and anyone can become a part of
this legacy by choosing the possibility that we hold firmly anchored
into our hearts.
We are not just speaking about the idea that
we are one world and one human family. This is not just a concept, it
is an experience, an insight and a wisdom that we carry to build peace
in a world where we know that our unity and our success as a community
depend on it.
The people here at this conference are committed
to this cause no matter how long it takes, but if you could hear the
voices of the hopeful youth that are part of this campaign, you would
not wait a second longer to join with this level of commitment to get
this bill passed as soon as humanly possible. It doesn't have to take
years if enough people take the time to become informed.
This
bill is relatively short and comprehensive enough in its approach that
it speaks to every area of the world community. Everyone would be
effected by its passage in a positive uplifting way, and it is up to
each person to find the cause within themselves by reading the bill and
sharing it with others.
People have been touched, transformed
and inspired just by reading the bill. Just having contact with the
potential that it represents can be a transformational experience. When
you hold this piece of legislation in your hands, you become like one
of the Founders of the Constitution, contemplating the creation of a
new kind of world. The implications are profound. When you call your
Senator and Representative in congress, it is the equivilant of signing
the Constitution and bringing it to life as a living document.
Our
national call in day is Monday, February 5th. We will be there for you
in the halls of government, representing the circle of human unity that
all of you reading this share with us. Join with us by adding your
voice to the legacy of peace and make the call, and tell your Senators
and Representatives that you want a Cabinet Level Department of Peace.
