Regional conferences are scheduled around the country, continuing to build the momentum of our national Dept of Peace campaign.  This NW regional conference will host participants invited from WA, OR, ID and AK, and will feature

*the Department of Peace and Nonviolence legislation
*Nonviolent Communication, http://www.cnvc.org/tensteps.htm  
*opportunities to influence our elected representatives and the legislative process.  

Date and location:
May 26-28, 2006  (registration will begin at 4 pm on the 26th, we’ll close at 4 pm on the 28th)
Harmony Hill Retreat Center (near Olympia, WA)  http://www.harmonyhill.org/grouprental/index.html
Cost includes lodging and meals: one night $116; two nights $208
(Limited financial assistance is available for those who want to attend but cannot afford this price.)
Registration is limited to 34, so please sign up soon if you plan to attend.

We need to create a team to organize this conference— to develop and implement plans for our agenda and budget (we'll have funds available from the national campaign for educational components), and for outreach.
