Thoughts from Monday
Waking up this morning, I found myself to be in a state of pure amazement that in a few hours I was going to be on the Hill meeting with the staff of Colorado Representatives, lobbying for a Department of Peace. I have lobbied before in Fort Collins, Colorado but lobbying on the Hill in Washington D.C. was a much different experience. This morning over ten Colorado constitutes set to the street.

In Memory of Rob

Coming of Age
The Peace Alliance has matured as an organization. In D.C., today, I'm seeing professional conference planning and execution, refined messaging, and really sophisticated support materials. I'm preparing for another dose, over the next few days, of high-octane advocacy training. This conference is inspirational for me. That's partly because of the stories and promise of bringing a culture of peace to the mainstream, but also because it shows a very mature side of the peace movement.

The Beginning of our Powerful Movement
As many of us know, it isn’t often that one crosses an organization like the The Peace Alliance, and the general Department of Peace campaign. Tonight we began our conference by reigniting old friendships from previous events and conferences, both with people inside our states as well as with people across the nation.
